Steps
1. Preparation & Safety
  • Read the procedure: Column Chromatography.
  • Review safety precautions: PPE, lab rules, and hazard notes.
  • Collect and check required apparatus and reagents.
  • Calibrate instruments (balances, meters, lenses, etc.) if applicable.
  • Record initial observations and environmental conditions.
2. Perform Experiment

  • Capture readings in a data table; repeat trials as required.
  • Control variables and note any deviations/anomalies.
  • Compute intermediate results (averages, slopes, constants).
  • Keep the workspace tidy; handle spills and waste as per protocol.
